The two-story historic Gaines mansion is being restored and has been converted into a 50-person conference center and reception hall – perfect for weddings, class reunions, and holiday parties. The historic kitchen is being upgraded to allow catering.
The resort will be soon be home to vacation rental cottages and multiple recreational opportunities. The phase one development of this property hopes to include a pool, volleyball court, horseshoe court, chipping and putting green, and disc golf course. A tennis court is already present and available to guests of Mountain Vacation Properties and resort goers.
For hiking and biking enthusiasts, a recreation trail will extend into The New River Gorge National Park and through downtown Fayetteville. It will cross by Pies and Pints and circle the Gaines Estate and high school. People who stay at the McGrath House across the street will have quick access to the trails.
The resort is also being developed as a festival grounds and currently hosts the popular Bridge Jam Music Festival. Festival goers can camp on site and still be in the heart of Fayetteville.
